War Eagle!

Two weeks ago, we finally started off our week healthy!!  And I had lots to do to catch up on from being sick.  It was a busy, but fun week!

Parker LOVES this bear, it plays music.
On Monday we ran several errands and then later that night took dinner over to the Richey's.  They just had their second baby girl, Annabel!  She's beautiful just like big sis Adeline.  Tuesday morning me and the girls went to bible study and then came home for a quick and early lunch before I took them to Mandy's to play with Hunter while I went and got my hair cut. Wednesday we had MOPS and then I had a Dr. appointment so our sitter Dia came over to stay with the girls while they napped.  That evening I did some last minute cleaning before my mom and some family got here!

Thursday, War Eagle day, woohoo!  My brother and his wife were able to have the day off and so they came up with my mom to see the girls and hang out with us.  That was a fun surprise!  I have been going to War Eagle and a few local craft fairs since I was probably 12 years old.  My mom would take me out of school for Friday and we'd come up and stay with my grandma and go to the craft fairs and then shopping.  My aunt and cousin usually joined us.  It is a special tradition that I look forward to each year.  It worked out nicely that the girls had KDO on Thursday this year, so we were able to go to War Eagle while they were at school.  Jack, Audreyanna, and my mom all went with me to pick the girls up from KDO.  The girls were excited to see that Grandma and Uncle J and Auntie A were all there to pick them up!
Davin took off on Friday to keep the girls and work from home so that my mom and I could continue our craft fair shopping.  I found a couple things that I thought I'd go back and get and when I did they were gone.  I learned my lesson!  Other than a couple of things we didn't find much this year, but we still enjoy just going!
Saturday we had a birthday party for our friend Noah who turned 2!  The girls had fun running around outside playing with their friends.   My dad had come up to pick my mom up and then stay the night.  We all had a good afternoon and evening together.  Sunday morning we left for church and my parents headed back home.

I just can't believe that War Eagle has come and gone!  I had a wonderful weekend with my mom and family. I did not get any pictures...shame on me!

Sick again, pumpkin patch, donuts

So, in my last post I said we were "off to the doctor tomorrow"...and so on Tuesday morning off we went to the Dr.  I woke up not feeling real well and by the time we got to the Dr.'s office I was SO sick.  I just felt horrible.  We got to the clinic and had to wait longer than normal and as each minute passed, I was feeling more sick.  By the time the Dr. got to our room he looked at me and said "are you OK? you don't look well", and I said that I felt like I had the flu.  He checked the girls out and then gave us all an antibiotic.  I was so thankful, b/c i did not have the strength to take the girls and go see a Dr. myself.  We got home and by God's strength I was able to get them lunch and put down for their nap.  I then went straight to bed and stayed there until Davin got home.  I had a 103 fever and just felt awful. I have not been that sick in a long time and I don't know if it was the flu or just some virus, but I'm so thankful it is over with!!  My mom had just been up to help out when I was sick with a stomach bug the week before, so we asked Davin's mom to come help b/c there was no way I could get out of bed.  Finally on Thursday I was feeling much better, and by Friday I was back to normal.  The girls are doing much better too! I am so thankful for faithful friends and family to pray for me, and the girls! I'm hoping and praying we are all well for a good long while :)!  Whew!

So on Friday since we were all feeling good and the weather was beautiful, we went to a local pumpkin patch with Mandy and Hunter.  It was just adorable.  It is an old fruit farm that has been around for years and each Fall, they set up a pumpkin patch.
The girls loved these little people, Ha!
Parker wanted this guy to come with her ;)
They each picked out their own little pumpkin :)
Me and my girls!

I wanted to take Davin back the next day so that I could get a few pumpkins for our front porch and to try and get some pictures of the girls (didn't get much, guess it's the age), plus he enjoys those old farm places!  We started the day off with donuts.  Since we have been married (6 1/2yrs) we have not gone to get donuts once and the girls have never had one.  So we met up with the Futterers at Olde Tyme Donuts before heading to the pumpkin patch.  We got the girls donut holes and they LOVED them.  I got a blueberry cake donut and it was good, but I think I actually liked the donut holes better!
Got their milk ready, just waiting on the donuts!
 First taste for Parker
Payton taking her first bite, she looks so excited haha!
 Our miss personality :)!
 Payton, Elsy, Parker
Davin was pulling them up and down this big hill and they loved it!!

Such a fun morning with great friends!

Pumpkin Patch, Devil's Den, Sick

A couple weeks ago Mandy and Andrew invited us to go to a Pumpkin Patch with them.  I love Fall and was excited to make our first trip of the season.  We got there a little later than we had hoped and so it got dark on us pretty quickly.  The kids had fun in the petting zoo and climbing up a big pile of hay.  Then we decided to try out the corn maze before we rode the cow train.  So we took off on what we thought was the kiddie maze, just roaming around not thinking much of it and thinking it was only going to take a little while...umm not so much!  After running into dead end after dead end, the guys decided to pull out the map and figure out where we were and how to get us out of the darn thing :)!  Of course we ended up in the big kid maze, but thankfully Davin and Andrew found where we were on the map and lead us out.  By that time the cow train rides were done, and so were we, ha :)!  No train ride this time, or pumpkin picking since it was too dark.  But we still had a good time.

That weekend we used our FNO time to organize Davin's office.  Bless his heart he is just not very organized.  He found an assistant (thank you Jesus for answered prayers) and so he wanted me to help him get things organized a bit before she started the following week.  I love to clean up and organize so I didn't mind spending our Friday night doing this.  We didn't get finished, but we got a lot done!

The next morning we went out to a state park to meet up with Mandy and Andrew who had been camping there.  Davin's parents also drove up to meet us out there.  I forgot my camera, but we had a good time enjoying the weather and visiting.

Joe got a job up here and so he and Amberley were up last week looking for a place to rent.  They found a very nice place and we were able to go see it and then have dinner with them.  We are so excited to have them up here!

The girls had school pictures for KDO last week.  I was a little worried Parker wouldn't get to have hers taken b/c she had gotten a fever the day before.  Thankfully they let us go first thing when we got there.  I think they are going to turn out pretty cute.  I left Payton at school and Parker and I went and ran some errands.  It was my first time to have just 1 kid.  I thought, man this is easy :)!  It was weird just having one child, but it was fun to get some quality time with Parker.  A couple times she said "tayton" (what she calls Payton), I think sweet thing missed her sister.  We picked Payton up around 11:30 so that they could both nap at home that afternoon.

That night I had a stomach bug.  One of these days I will get brave, but man I am such a baby when it comes to throwing up.  I hate it and it scares me!  Thankfully my mom came up Friday to take care of me and the girls.  She's the best!!  Poor Parker had fever the rest of the weekend, and apparently shared it with Payton.  So we are off to the Dr. tomorrow.

Davin had tickets to the game in Dallas and I was bummed that I got sick and couldn't go.  He had a great time with some friends and family and I was glad he was able to go and enjoy a fun game!  I can't believe it is October!
